Bat Masterson, who after failing to secure a job as a newspaper reporter becomes marshal of Dodge City. Preferring socializing to peacekeeping, Masterson falls in love with Dora Hand, the obligatory golden-hearted chorus girl whose concern for the welfare of her fellow citizens at time reaches Madonna-like dimensions. When Dora is shot down cattle baron King Kennedy, Masterson begins taking his job seriously. After taking care of Kennedy, Masterson determines to enshrine the memory of Dora, whose efforts to clean up Dodge City were largely ignored by the "decent" townsfolk.

Talk of the Town was created by Patrick McGeown in 1997 from an idea by the Executive Producer Brian Marcar. It was the first foreign language program on commercial Thai Television. Thai people feared making mistakes in English - they saw the language as difficult and frightening - but necessary. Talk of the Town combined humour, colour, wacky news themes and location shootings to make the program unique. The program was conceived in early internet days and research was carried out in libraries, books and on the ground. The program gained a following in many sectors of Thai society and school teachers set homework based on the day's content. Pronunciations, stories, international news and the idiom of the day ensured variety. The production team travelled throughout Thailand and recorded the program in towns, cities and in one instance on an Australian warship. Patrick McGeown wrote, produced and co-presented the program with four different presenters.

With the help of the Dean she comes up with a way to save the chapter and falls in love in the process.
